The weekend of 5th/6th of April 2014 saw Little Kickers in Dublin, Cork and Kildare boot the ball for charity as they aimed to raise money for The Jack and Jill Foundation. All our Little Kickers were sponsored for every goal they scored in a special penalty shoot-out.Little Kickers’ (Ireland) chosen charity for 2014 is The Jack and Jill Foundation.
The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation provides direct funding, to families of children with brain damage up to the age of 4 who suffer severe intellectual and physical developmental delay, enabling them to purchase home respite care. They also provide non-oncology end of life care. The fundraising event was held at all Little Kickers classes nationwide and we raised a massive €8095.35!! Once again a massive thank you to all our Little Kickers, their parents/guardians and sponsors for your support!
Niamh O’Connor, Little Kickers Country Manager said, “We felt this was a great opportunity for all the children who attend Little Kickers classes to do something to help raise money for other children. Sadly many of the children who benefit from funding and services from the Jack and Jill Foundation, may not be able to enjoy simple sports such as football. Little Kickers have been really excited about raising money for Jack and Jill and it’s wonderful to see children wanting to help other children.”
